(University of Santiago of Chile, USACH): He obtained his Ph.D. in 2010 at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, where he studied the genetic architecture of complex traits in *Saccharomyces cerevisiae*, revealing the critical role of genotype \u00d7 environment (G \u00d7 E) interactions, in a widely cited contribution. He later collaborated with the University of Gothenburg on the study of the phenotypic landscape of yeasts, playing a key role in the identification and validation of genes. He conducted postdoctoral research at INRA-Versailles (France) with *Arabidopsis thaliana*, exploring natural variation in expression traits and the role of non-coding regions in drought stress adaptation, using various omics approaches. With the support of a CONICYT return grant, he established his own research group in Chile.
