He is one of the main developers of the L-GALAXIES simulation, which efficiently models millions of galaxies across the full redshift range in cosmological-scale volumes. He developed the state-of-the-art chemical evolution model in L-GALAXIES, which tracks stellar evolution (including binary systems) and the ejection of 118 chemical elements from 16 different enrichment sources, as well as the production and destruction of interstellar dust.
