Posteriormente colabor\u00f3 con la Universidad de Gotemburgo en el estudio del paisaje fenot\u00edpico de levaduras, desempe\u00f1ando un rol clave en la identificaci\u00f3n y validaci\u00f3n de genes. Realiz\u00f3 investigaciones postdoctorales en el INRA-Versailles (Francia) con Arabidopsis thaliana, explorando la variaci\u00f3n natural en rasgos de expresi\u00f3n y el papel de las regiones no codificantes en la adaptaci\u00f3n al estr\u00e9s por sequ\u00eda, utilizando diversas aproximaciones \u00f3micas. Con el apoyo de un fondo de retorno de CONICYT, estableci\u00f3 su propio grupo de investigaci\u00f3n en Chile.
